Only two layers this week. Hey, IT'S HOT OUT THERE!
This vest seems to make any dress a little more casual, and a lot less basic:)
Now, its time to reveal a layer of my life: I love watching so called "scary movies," but we all know (my hubs, my dog and I), that this is NOT a good thing. After watching one, I will stay up all night long just "knowing" that whatever happened in the movie is going to happen to me. Oddly, every time we are channel surfing and one of these movies is on, I temporarily forget that I just plain can't handle it, and I plead to watch the movie anyway. Go figure.

I love the oxfords with your dress--never really thought it would look good in my mind but you proved me wrong! Have an awesome Monday!
ReplyDelete@Cassie, thanks! I love oxfords, and wasn't 100 percent sure how it'd look with the dress until I try it on!
ReplyDeleteMany Layers Monday
Love your green dress lady. Not only does it look fab with the vest but I can see it would be perfect on its on too.
ReplyDeletexo
Haha...I don't do any layering in the summer. Too hot!
ReplyDeleteLove your dress :)
I adore your dress! So cute!! Oh, and I can't STAND scary movies, because I do the same thing. lol And I close my eyes and peek between my fingers if I happen to be forced to watch one. =)
ReplyDeleteI'll link up later today when I get time to do my Monday post! =)

ReplyDeleteLove the green dress and oxfords! NYC, so dreamy!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I LOVE your green dress. It looks so comfy and lovely for a warm summer day. I almost kind of wore something similar to this outfit today...but I decided to put something else on instead. Now I want to go change!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I hear ya on the scary movie thing. Except I KNOW I can't handle it, so I just cower in fear at even the slightest thought of a scary movie. I remember seeing one scene from some scary movie when I was younger...I think someone was getting out of the shower and they saw bloody handprints on the mirror (OMG!), and I was freaked out for like two years. Every time I got out of the shower, I looked at the mirror, just expecting those bloody handprints to be there...
Yeah!
@ Ashley, u crack me up, but it sounds just like something that would happen to me!
ReplyDelete@Tiffany, I know! Sometimes its like watching a train wreck, you dont WANT to see it but you cant help but look!
@Vanessa, yes I know its too hot in the summer, but I find myself layering clothes all the time anyway. Hopefully in the Fall more of you lovely ladies will link up and show off your pretty outfits;)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is gorgeous, the details on top make it even more beautiful, the color looks great on you!

omg. I die for the green dress. Seriously.
ReplyDelete& I love scary flicks. Love 'em. But I do the same thing you do...get really scared afterwards when it's all dark and creepy. If you haven't already seen it, here's a bit of advice...don't watch The Fourth Kind. SO SCARY. COULDN'T SLEEP FOR DAYS.
I love how your oxfords look with this outfit, as they add a bit of "classic" to "casual." I adore the color combination of tawny with green- it's so fresh. x
ReplyDeleteI love your green dress. The detail at the bustline is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing with scary movies. Did you ever see Paranormal? Every so once in a while I'll find myself alone at home and start freaking myself out.
Jenn
The detailing on the front of your dress is beautiful! I have a long vest that I really don't know what to do with, maybe I'll layer it on a summer dress sometime. :) Great idea.
ReplyDeleteThe top detail of that dress is amazing! I love how you paired it with the brogues.
ReplyDeleteI cannot handle scary movies. Cheesy ones from the 70s and 80s, yes. Ones like Hostel? NO.
The details on that dress are great! I love that you layered a vest over it too.

ReplyDeleteYou've hit the right balance between sexy and modest. Love the green on your complexion.
ReplyDeleteP.S. To answer your question, I'm lucky to have an obliging photographer who puts up with my art direction. Other than that, I edit, crop, photoshop everything myself and also take all photos of food, landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes (most kinds of scapes, really).
