This necklace makes me feel like a queen...and the pop of maroon and purple give this look the icing on the cake:
The bracelet is vintage. It's my Grandmas:)

Today I'm wearing a little bit of that black and gold inspiration I was so into last week. It's hard to tell in the picture, but I'm wearing mustard/gold sandals. I'm also showcasing my fabulous new necklace that seriously drives me wild and makes me feel like a superstar. The shoes are the perfect Fall sandal, as the mustard color and suede texture makes it feel rich enough for the new season but the style fits the sunny weather.

A basic dress can look so different depending on how it's styled.

I love mixing greens and blues. This feather necklace I bought from Topshop 2 years ago stands out just the right amount without being too distracting. And it actually matches my Zara sandals which are green as well (and sadly no longer available).

I think this has been one of my favorite outfits so far this year. It's not super spectacular, but for me its just the right amount of trends paired with basics. I'm going to start keeping that in mind from now on: Balance trends with the basics.

Make it Good

I found this top at Brooklyn Renegade... an art fair that travels around the country, full of amazing handmade goods and small businesses. I love fairs like that because you find unique items and brands that not so many people know about yet. This particular top is from a company called Make it Good...check them out when you get a chance, I love all their stuff!

Festive Fathers Day Attire

Top: Topshop, Skirt: DVF, Necklace: Kitson, Bracelet: CC Skye, Bag: Gifted

Today I felt festive. I'm wearing two great gifts here. One a bracelet that I fell in love with the minute I opened the box. The bright blue just makes it such a stand-out piece. The other a bag from Guatamala from friend of mine who recently went there. Its so different from all my other handbags, which is why it was such a fun present to receive.  I love how easy it was to incorparate both gifts into my wardrobe.

Fathers Day was pretty relaxed for us. My husband is obsessed with BBQ so we went to Bludso in Hollywood. It was pretty fantastic, although all of their highchairs were being used so mommy had to try and contain a very active one year old for the majority of the meal. I wouldnt change a minute of it though because I got to give him constant kisses and hugs and I got to watch my sweet husband enjoy his favorite food.
