This past Saturday night we went to dinner and a Broadway show. We saw "The Book of Morman" by the way, and I believe there were some happy, impressed, Mormans in the audience (there may have been some unhappy ones as well, but to our surprise there were no walk outs or protests)...as well as Tom Hanks (I walked right by him on my way to the ladies, random I know).
Its still in previews but it got a standing ovation. This is not a play for the easily offended. As you may or may not know, the writers are the same people that write the South Park episodes, so you can imagine that it really pushes some boundaries. I don't want to give anything away, but in keeping with South Park tradition, despite all the "lampooning", the show ended with a nice lesson learned about different cultures or beliefs.
I learned a lesson about my closet too: There's some great stuff in there just waiting to be re-styled...
I searched through my closet and realized that I only wore this dress once, and that was to a wedding. So I started layering to see if it would look good worn as a skirt, since I can get way more wear out of a skirt than a cocktail dress.
I was happy with the results;)
I love the layering of your outfit, the dress looks great as a skirt, and I love your necklace! x

ReplyDeleteTotally thought this dress was just a skirt. I love the way you layered it. It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to see "Book of Mormon," but I live in the Midwest, and we never get anything cool here.
P.S. Tom Hanks? Girl, you be rollin' with celebs! Super impressed. I would have accosted him.

ReplyDeleteThat dress is way cool! Nice way to mix it up. Tom Hanks? Awesome! I love city life, but Seattle is nothing compared to NYC. I wanted to move there in my late-20s but that was just a dream. We're due for a visit.
