The Littlest Things

This sweet dish I bought from TJ Maxx. Proof you dont need to spend much to add little designer touches to your home:)
My new Forever 21 sweatshirt. My obsession with comfy yet chic sweatshirts continue. you can get it here.

My somewhat organised jewelry studio. This has been such a process but I printed sweet little labels to help me get what I need quickly.

My new boots....everything from the color to the heal height is just absolutley perfect.

And  finally, You know how they say, "Make your closet look like your favorite boutique."? Well, I've been working on it. I even put my favorite clutch in an inexpensive jar..ie display case.

So, those are the little things from this week!
Hope everyone has a great BIG weekend:)

Saturday

1.My Dress you can get here.
2.Nail color is Essie "DJ Play that song"
3. A similar hat here.

Yesterday I lounged like a lizard and did stuff a mother could only dream of doing...
Don't even pretend you've never taken part in a similar scene (below) when no ones watching!
This is the view I got to stare at while doing it...
And I finally signed up for this quarterly sample box from new beauty magazine...you can sign up here. For only 29$ you get a mix of deluxe and full size high end beauty products to try out. It's like birch box but higher end and larger products. I'm so excited to receive my first one. Its such a deal, and it's like getting a birthday present even though its not your birthday. I'll update you on my new stash when it arrives.

And here again is the comfy dress I wore while doing all of this heavenly stuff:

Days like these don't happen all too often. Especially now that I am responsible for another little human being. Its so important to do stuff like this every now and then though. I feel like myself again. I got to recharge my batteries and induldge in guilty pleasures.  I have to say it was the perfect "Me Day."

Thursday

A basic dress can look so different depending on how it's styled.

I love mixing greens and blues. This feather necklace I bought from Topshop 2 years ago stands out just the right amount without being too distracting. And it actually matches my Zara sandals which are green as well (and sadly no longer available).

I think this has been one of my favorite outfits so far this year. It's not super spectacular, but for me its just the right amount of trends paired with basics. I'm going to start keeping that in mind from now on: Balance trends with the basics.

Leopard Print

Top: All Saints, Leather Pants: BlankNYC (Here), Bracelet: Noir (Here), Shoes: Zara, Bag: Chanel

All Saints is my favorite place for black, grey and white clothing. Their trends are always just the right amount of wild, and they always keep their cuts and prints classy. Unfortunately this top isnt available online or I would give you the link.

The outnet is a great place for statement jewelery that you like but never want to quite spend so much money on. My bracelet is Noir and they seem to always have some of their styles on sale at the outnet.

And if you're looking for faux leather pants that are affordable, BlankNYC is the way to go. I've bought more expensive brands and they tend to sag in the bum. BlankNYC fits like a glove, and I dont have to spend all night pulling up my waistline.

Leopard and Aqua

I used to shy away from leopard prints, but this light grey color print that I've seen everywhere has opened me up to the idea.

Adding a  color like aqua or even peach keeps its summery and great for daytime, at night however, I'm adding black leather to the mix!

Make it Good

I found this top at Brooklyn Renegade... an art fair that travels around the country, full of amazing handmade goods and small businesses. I love fairs like that because you find unique items and brands that not so many people know about yet. This particular top is from a company called Make it Good...check them out when you get a chance, I love all their stuff!

Festive Fathers Day Attire

Top: Topshop, Skirt: DVF, Necklace: Kitson, Bracelet: CC Skye, Bag: Gifted

Today I felt festive. I'm wearing two great gifts here. One a bracelet that I fell in love with the minute I opened the box. The bright blue just makes it such a stand-out piece. The other a bag from Guatamala from friend of mine who recently went there. Its so different from all my other handbags, which is why it was such a fun present to receive.  I love how easy it was to incorparate both gifts into my wardrobe.

Fathers Day was pretty relaxed for us. My husband is obsessed with BBQ so we went to Bludso in Hollywood. It was pretty fantastic, although all of their highchairs were being used so mommy had to try and contain a very active one year old for the majority of the meal. I wouldnt change a minute of it though because I got to give him constant kisses and hugs and I got to watch my sweet husband enjoy his favorite food.

The Cut-Out Cover-Up

This bad boy is supposed to be a dress. But since we are in bathing-suit season, and cut-out dresses are making waves all over the red carpets, I thought I'd use this baby to modestly (or maybe provactaivley depending on your standards), cover my swimsuit for the day.
