Many Layers Monday

In many ways, this outfit is similar to last weeks "MLM." Same tank layered underneath, and same belt.
Sorry to disappoint.

Hopefully you guys have been more creative with your layering than I was this week:)

Time for a layer of little old me: The first car I ever owned was a pink/maroon 1978 Monte Carlo. The paint job actually contained gold flecks in it, so in the sun it looked more pink than maroon. I hung a pink air freshener in the shape of a butterfly in the rearview mirror. My friends wanted me to hang some dice or something even tackier, but to me, my Carlo was no joke.
We called my car "The Carlo" and I loved itDespite the fact that most of the kids in my school got brand new cars, I felt good about being different. In some ways, it was almost an "F. You" to the popular kids. Sadly, the breaks died my senior year so my mom let me drive her 4 Runner to school, which seemed to negate the whole "shy girl rebel look" I thoughT The Carlo had given me (hysterical since I was way too naive and untainted to be a rebel). But, hey, who doesn't want to drive a nicer car if given the chance?!

  2. Sometimes, layering in the summer is GAH! That said, the minimal layering in this look makes that maxi more polished-looking! i love it.

  3. How perfect for summer. I don't know what it is, but I just love stripes and think they are so classic and chic. You can't go wrong with them! You look so cute, I would layer, but it's wayyyyy too hot here right now!! I'd pass out.
