Hope You Had a Happy Easter!!
Easter is a great time to whip out the color block trend...I'm kind of obsessed with the first dress from Asos right now.
I'm glad to see this style come back.
I used to wear the hell out of my color-block dresses around the time I got married. I thought the idea was so cool and unique, although its not like, even then, it was all that new.
Regardless, this style came in at a time when i was REALLY happy, and excited about life. Coincidentally, I'm right back in that frame of mind again now. And of coarse seeing color-blocking brings back all those old, happy memories.
Fashion is like music: You hear on old song and it transports you back in time....the same way seeing certain trends in clothing come back in style can remind you of the past.

The Asos one is my favorite too--I saw some great pieces at Express but I am coveting the Gucci color block romper.

ReplyDeleteAhhh I love the Forever 21 one! It's nice when fond memories are attached to clothes. I have certain pieces in my closet that remind me of certain times...pink trenches will forever remind me of when I was 17!

So fun!!! Color Blocking is right up my Ally... love the dresses you chose! Keds and EG socks bring back memories similar to Color Blocking! I used to wear solid color square earrings in different colors to match outfits in the early 90's...
