My hubs kept calling me Ellen Degeneres all day, because she really has mastered the "tailored blazer/casual everything else" look. Chucks would have really made it look like an outfit of hers, but I liked my boots with it just fine...and I doubt she'd be in to my super girly handbag.
I'm not a pearl wearing, high heeled type of girl anyway (except on occasion), so I felt pretty great in this...I think it was perfect for a casual lunch last Saturday!
