Many Layers Monday

Welcome to my first edition of MLM...(Many Layers Monday).

I've layered 1. a cream tank under 2. this striped dress and added 3. red vest for a pop of color...otherwise I would look much like a jailbird, don't you think?

I added a jade ring and gold/jade bracelet to break up the monotony of red and black....I hate to be too predictable and this outfit SCREAMS Greenwich Village.

Now, as promised, a layer to my personality/life: Im quite a naturalist, borderline witchdoctor. I dislike prescribed medicine unless absolutely necessary. I ALWAYS try to cure any ailment with vitamins/whole foods, lots of liquids and rest, and I search relentlessly online to find a natural cure. I once ate 7 cloves of raw garlic in a row because I've heard its a natural antibiotic!!!

Now, grab my button and be sure to follow the rules below! Happy Layering!

  12. What a great look! I'm a huge fan of black/white/red, but I agree it can get predictable, so the ring is a nice touch.

  14. Love the layers! The dress is really cute and unique for a striped dress.

Garlic and onions have been my secret weapon. My SO and I made it through last winter without any colds because I started loading up our meals with garlic, onions, and as much fresh fruit and veggies as possible. And hot tea. Hot tea is also really good for you, especially green and herbal teas.

  18. I totally wore layers today AND three different colors so I could multi-task with the Color Brigade. But, I forgot to have my picture taken! I hope it's okay that I link a picture from a while back. Actually, I'll try to layer tomorrow and link up. Or Weds. I have all week :D

I love your outfit! I've liked this type of flowy(?) vest since I first saw them, but I have yet to get one. I shall add it to my list of wants. Stripes are so fun! I think jailbirds wear orange now, so you're good.

I'm with you with naturapathic remedies, but I have to admit that when it comes to my boys I panic sometimes and give them meds. I try to ride out headaches/migraines.

  23. You look fantastic, I love the idea of layering, but I never get round to it because I give myself about 10 minutes to get ready before work. I'm living in Korea at the moment too, so even the thought of wearing more that a vest in this heat is difficult. You make it look easy though...! Maybe I'll give it a go

  25. Okay, Linky tools changed up on me. It used to let me link my post but grab my pic from Flickr. Since I do mobile posts, I can't upload my post pics from Flickr. At least I don't think. I shall try again. This is a fun feature!
